# Tooltips

**Category:** Field

**Version:** 1.0

**Last Updated:** January 5, 2026

**Author:** Any2Info

## Description

The **Form Field Tooltip** allows the creator of a form to add additional help text to certain fields. These helper texts are created through **DisplayTexts** and displayed next to or above the field in a circled !.

## General Properties

The Tooltip only has 1 property, which is the text that is to be displayed. If this is empty then the tooltip will not be displayed at all.

## Special Properties

The tooltip does not have any special properties.

## Tips & Best Practices

* **Make the texts short and to the point.** Hints should be short and concice, as to not make the user read too much unnecessarily.

## Errors

Generally **no errors** should present themselves. If any do, make sure to reload the page and clear your cookies/cache. If issues still persist, contact **Any2Info Support**.

## Examples

Below you can see a basic example of the tooltip.

In another example the tooltip changes depending on the Label position. If a label with a text is shown next to the field then the tooltip will show next to the field too.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://academy.any2info.com/any2info-academy/no-code-platform/app-studio/application-design/forms/fields-toolbox/general/tooltips.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
